The age of Information Technology has taken a lot of people by surprise. While it has become a way of life for some, others know very little about it and may be unlikely to learn. Eventually we will have a polarised society and this will lead to serious social problems. To what extent do you agree with this statement?
Answer:
In the modern day world today, technology has made a huge impact in our everyday life and hence, each and every work is being computerised. Some people believe that every individual can not learn the usage of these devices which ends up dividing the society. Nevertheless, I really disagree because of several major reasons which are stated below.
It is evident that technologies speed was cumulative in the previous decades, but it also prevails quickly too. For instance, you could find an old person who is uneducated using a mobile phone as much as she wants, like sending messages or even dialing every cell number. This demonstrates that the technology today is not only for the young generation or individuals with high levels of education.
Even today we still witness how technology has spread to remote villages and cities and how each individual has access to the computer or the internet since these tools can be bought on a reasonable price or with monthly installments. Also we can see that the children of today are being taught how to use these computers in schools. Many people chose to live in traditional or modern methods but I do not think these differences can create a divided society.
In conclusion, technology has spread in towns and cities and other states all around the globe making everyone to use it simply and enjoy its advantageous use.
