Crime is becoming one of the major problem a number of countries is facing nowadays. It is apparent that these crimes continue to grow even if laws has been made to eradicate it. This essay will discuss the reasons why crime is still increasing and the things the government should do to resolve this.

First of all, poverty is one factor why people do illegal activities such is stealing and fraud. They do it because they are not happy and contended with the income their getting. Money is very important for an individual to survive the daily demands of this modern society and since not everyone is eligible to get a descent job nor given a fair compensation, they dwell to do something they believe that can elevate their status in life but in a wrong way. I think if government is able to offer various jobs that can cater everyone and give a higher salary, then this situation will definitely make an improvement.

Secondly, the government should be strict in implementing their rules. According to the saying, “No one is above the law”, must be followed at all times because it is very difficult for people to comply with the policies when they see the people in position abuse their power. Corruption is like a disease that destroys a nations economy however there are so many politicians who are obviously doing it but are able to evade the the law. If everyone is equally treated when serving justice then everyone will be afraid to commit crimes. Last but not the least, lack of education is another reason why crimes exist. In my point of view, it is necessary for every citizen of a nation to be informed about the cause and effects of doing crimes. This should start from the house where parents must be resposible in guiding their children about good manners and right conduct. Then in schoold where students must me taught about the law and also help them graduate and become suceessful.

And lastly, everyone should always be reminded that rules and regulations are made and very important to keep a peaceful and happy life for all.

To sum up, crime can still be prevented as long as everyone cooperates with whatever solutions the government implement to resolve this problem.
