Nowadays, more and more young unmarried adults are choosing to study and live outside their parents’ homes. Do you think this trend is positive?

There is a fact that many young adults have gone away from their parents’ home after they have graduated from high school. Some prefer to live or stay independently while they proceed for their greater education or choose to work. This trend has both advantages and disadvantages, but i really believe that it has much benefits than the drawbacks.

It may be said that many people trust that going away from their parents house at a younger age has a drawback. It is also undeniable that most young adults are still not prepared to stay independently by their own. Most young adults are not yet mature to make choices and differentiate between the right and the wrong. Most of these young adults become addicted to alcohol and narcotics and others become pregnant.

In spite of the disadvantage, it can be said that staying independently at a young age also has several benefits. First of all, they get to study ways to appreciate their time and manage their lives. They also study ways to set numerous priorities throughout their life, while they create a timetable for learning, shopping for groceries and even cleaning or doing laundry for themselves. Second of all, those who decide to leave their parents to go look for work decrease their parents’ burden. Parents can stop financial supports for their child and can be allocate for the young children or their retirement plan.

To sum up, in the modern day world today, it is evident that most young adults decide to stay independently after they have finished high school. Though this trend has a disadvantage, i believe it has many advantages for parents and the child altogether.
