I’d like to talk about Jim who is a lovely boy that I met last month. I met Jim last month on the train to Amsterdam. He sat next to me with his family. He is about nine or ten years old with blonde curly hair. There are some freckles on his nose and that is very cute. He was reading Harry Potter on the train and talking to his mother about Hogwarts, the magical school, in his imagination. He believed that there was a Hogwarts in the world and he would received his offer from his owl on his next birthday. His mother was smiling all the time and tried not to brake his imagination. I chatted with him and shared my opinions on Harry Potter. I found his ideas interesting because when I was watching Harry Potter film for the first time I also believed that magic exists in the world and I was a muggle, which means people who do not know magic in the films. I was surprised that we have the same though about magic world and I envy him that he can still hold his imagination.

Internet and books, which can provide helpful learning materials?

I think internet is more useful as we can get almost everything covered in books from the internet. And we can also get more from the internet that can’t be found in books.

Do you think books will disappear in the future?

I don’t think so. Although internet is useful enough to cover almost everything in books, there are still a large amount of people who enjoy the feeling of reading real books.

If it is just about gaining information, why is it necessary for books to exist?

The internet has existed since the 1990’s. While books have existed for a thousand years and beyond.

Nowadays many people rely on internet very much. What do you think?

I think this is inevitable because internet is the most convenient way to get information. I think it is good to use the internet often because we can learn a lot from the internet.

How could people fine reliable information on internet?

They can use some search engines to search for what professional people’s views towards the questions. But they must hold a critical attitude towards the results they find and learn to judge if the results are reliable by themselves.
