Describe an unusual experience of traveling.
You should say:
Where you went
When you went there
Who you were with
What you did there
And explain why it is unusual
My most unforgettable travel experience was when my parents and I went to Paris after I graduated from high school in 2016. Aside from admiring the tourist sites, I was thrilled to discover the charming streets the city has to offer. There is something that tugs at the heart in every corner — from old architecture, quaint boutiques, sprawling parks, or you can just sit by a café and people watch. All these gorgeous things made me know more about this city and love it more.
To this day I still dream of walking the streets in the city of Paris. As the great author Ernest Hemingway said, “If you are lucky enough to live in Paris, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.” That is exactly how I feel about Paris. I just fell in love with its beauty. I am forever changed by it.
Part 3
What are some popular attractions that people like to visit?
Tourist attractions are places of interest where tourists visit, typically for its inherent or an exhibited natural or cultural value, historical significance, natural or built beauty, offering leisure and amusement. They can be places of natural beauty such as beaches, tropical island resorts, national parks, mountains, deserts and forests, are examples of traditional tourist attractions which people may visit. Cultural tourist attractions can include historical places, monuments, ancient temples, zoos, aquaria, museums and art galleries.
Why do many people like to travel abroad?
There are different reasons why people travel abroad. Some people Travel because they want to see their families and friends who live far away. Some people travel to seek for work because they want to experience how to work from another place. Some people travel because they want to learn others’ cultures. They want to see the difference be-tween their culture and other cultures.
What do people usually do during long holidays?
Holidays are the best. Being a college student, it allows me to relax and decompress finally. Being an employee, I am allowed to take some paid time off from work to escape for a weekend and truly relax. From the beginning of a semester to the end, it’s always hard work and keeps me on my toes. The feeling of being able to relax and not think of school and my job is amazing, and I love being able to have the flexibility to travel. So usually during holidays, I tend to go on a long weekend getaway to celebrate my accomplishments before enjoying the Christmas holidays with my family.
Do you think there will be more ecotourism in the future?
Yes, I think so. My perception is that today’s tourists, and people in general, are becoming more aware about our impact of our environment. Somewhere along the way the reason for travel seems to have gone off track. I feel like it for many people have more to do with getting a break from the working life and to get sunshine and heat, and has nothing to do with the actual destinations of where they’re going. The hotel resorts look all the same around the world, and some people never leave the resort, which makes the visit seem unnecessary to me. Sure, it gets them some vitamin D and time to relax, but it’s on the expense of the locals and their lands.
