Describe a piece of good news you heard from someone you know.
You should say: what it was about;
who you heard it from;
when and where you got this news;
and explain how you felt when you got the good news.

I’d like to talk about a good news that I received a couple of weeks ago.

My best friend told me that she’s pregnant, and would get married soon. I didn’t expect it. So when she told me about it, I was so surprised. I was so happy for her. If I remember correctly. That’s a Sunday. She gave me a call, and invited me to a restaurant to have lunch with her and her boyfriend. So later we met at that place. While we were having the lunch, she broke the news. She excitedly told me that she’s going to be mom soon, and their wedding was a week later.

At that moment, I didn’t know what to say. I thought it’s just a Sunday meeting. I didn’t see that coming. I congratulated her, and sent my best wishes. Then I learnt she got some other plans. She showed three train tickets then told me she needed my help to choose the wedding dress. Of course, I was willing to help. So in the rest of the day, we went to Su Zhou, a city next to Shanghai, to buy things for her wedding.

It’s the best news I received in recent years. She’s my best friend, and now she’s married to a good man, and will have a baby soon. Now she must be the happiest person in the world. as a friend, of course, I feel so happy for her. I hope she has the best life.
